Podcast Discussion

I had the privilege of being invited by the wonderful folks at Once Upon a Sketch to participate in a roundtable discussion. The topic of conversation was Adobe's announcement that they would be transitioning into a subscription-based service for it's Creative Suite software. 

Though many people in the creative business seem to be up in arms, and understandably so, I myself feel it's still a bit too soon to see exactly how things will play out...

SCBWI Illustrators Meeting

I recently attended an illustrators meeting hosted by the local chapter of the SCBWI.  The meeting featured a very informative presentation by Kristine Brogno, Art Director at Chronicle Books. I thought she was thoughtful and engaging. She gave a talk about words and pictures, and the different ways these two things work together to create a more interesting children's book. Picked up a couple new perspectives on how to approach a story idea. Hopeful, I can put it to some good use...
